The Van der Graaf drum motor features a quiet AGMA 12 gearbox (with noise level
46 db), ideal for the airline industry requiring low noise level. The standard Van
der Graaf drum motor is widely used for incoming and outgoing baggage systems. The
low profile high torque tapered drum motor streamlines the conveyor with minimal
external components, a must where space is a premium. This type of drum motor provides
the perfect solution for power turns where bags have to move 90 degrees.

Automotive
Van der Graaf synchronized drum motors are used in the automotive stamping plant
where large parts have to be carried by two conveyors simultaneously. For flat bed
conveyors, the v-groove guided drum motor equipped with electromagnetic brake is
capable of performing 67 starts/stops per minute.

and wet environments with daily wash down periods withstanding 1,500 psi pressure.
