Operating a drum motor without a belt: NB (no belt) series motor is required for
preventing overheating. (Refer to: Cooling)
Operating a drum motor with a modular belt driven with sprockets: NB (no belt) series
motor is required. (Refer to: Driving modular belt driven by sprockets)
Operating a drum motor in a vertical position or 5° horizontal position and
higher: For these applications extra oil will be required. (Consult your Van der
Graaf representative.)
