    In order to meet your special needs, Van der Graaf offers a series of Standard and Optional Features. By selecting the appropriate configuration you can select a drum motor that meets your needs while maximizing performance.

    Standard Features Optional Features
    External components Shell & shafts are manufactured with mild steel. End flanges & junction box are manufactured with cast iron. - Stainless Steel Plated Package:
    Shell and shafts are manufactured with 304 or 316 stainless steel, the end flanges and junction box are covered with electroless nickel plating.

    - All Stainless Steel Package:
    All components that are exposed to the environment such as shell, shafts and end flanges are made out of 304 or 316 stainless steel. The electrical junction box is made out of polyurethane. The drum motor can also be supplied with a 6í cable, with a straight or 90 degree cable connector.
    Belt tracking Convex crown drum motor profile. - Drum profile with A, B, C or D sections v-grooves.
    - Flat face is available when crown is not required.
    Belt traction The standard drum finish will cover most applications. - Rubber or urethane lagging for increased belt traction.
    - Helical knurling or plain knurling pattern.
    Driving modular belt driven by sprockets N/A - NB (no belt) drum motor fitted with U.S.M.W or other material sprockets to drive most modular belts.
    Special face length N/A - Nonstandard face length drum motors are available; please consult your Van der Graaf representative.
    Electric motor Class F inverter duty. - Class H inverter duty.
    Overload protection N/A - Thermal overload protection for class F or H.
    Cooling The drum motor is using oil to transfer heat from the motor to the drum and dissipate on the belt. - For drum motors that no belt is required or the application calls for driving a modular belt driven by sprockets with no belt contact direct on the drum, the NB (no belt) motor is required.
    Rollback for incline conveyors N/A - Backstop device (TB) for CW or CCW rotation.
    - A Manual Release Backstop (MRB) device when the belt is required to run in the opposite rotation, CW and CCW.
    Indexing The drum motor can be indexed with DC injection dynamic breaking from a frequency inverter. - Electro magnetic brake.
